Wait a minute!! Did Dasuki actually expect to go home and have a “home-coming-quickie” with his wife after all those lurid details of pure stealing? Was he really looking forward to being driven home in his sweet limousine(or customized bullet proof prado) after all what we’ve heard? This man is lucky oooooo!!! Chai!!
That he was not given stringent given bail conditions at all was an indictment on the kind of judiciary that we’ve got. You cannot steal like that and expect to sleep easy in your home. We have a judiciary that only recognises “big time thieves”. A judiciary that would allow someone like Dokpesi to go home on lenient bail but would jail, without mercy, a pick-pocket. That is why I call it a kobo-kobo judiciary.
What Dasuki did was conspiracy in terrorism. What he did was a treasonable offence. What he did was akin to facilitating murder or even genocide. I can understand if some people are in his support. It is sweet to support when none of your loved ones has been mowed down by Boko haram. However, a character like Dasuki should not be made to sleep on his palatial water bed with ease. He should be made to understand that there are repercussions nomatter how unsavoury.
In china, it is a death penalty crime for you once you are accused of corruption. A couple of years ago, a top government official was sentenced to death for misappropriating the sum of close to 1 million dollars. Your guess is as good as mine if Dasuki were to be a chinese.
Dasuki accepted that he collected money. Dasuki has accepted that he shared money. Dasuki should not be allowed to go home and enjoy the money. If that is what the judiciary wants, then, it wouldn’t work. He cannot go home, I’m sorry……Ewolewoo!!
