Deziani: Come to Nigeria and be treated

0 68

Deziani’s  Lawyer wrote a very long epistle. He ranted and ranted about how unfair the press had been on her principal. However, what I brought out from his ‘gist’ was that Deziani was sick and she had to be treated in London.  This is the basis of this post.

Deziani, as a Petroleum minister, superintended over a ministry that was (and is) essentially the main ministry in Nigeria. This is the ministry that is in charge of managing our common wealth. This was a period when the crude oil was selling over #115/barrel. It was a season when economists were predicting that crude oil would be selling at $200/barrel due to the volatility of the market. We were awash with oil money at this period of time.

I am also aware that during this time we were told that enough money was being spent on hospitals and other medical infrastructures around the country. We still remember  stories where we were told by government officials that  our hospitals were being upgraded to meet world standard. Ofcourse,  with enough money from the crude oil, who would doubt this fact that our medical system was not being upgraded. If you doubt it, please google the medical budget from 2009 to 2015. It was in serious billions year in-year out. Now you can guess where all the money went to.

Now that our madam is sick as confirmed by her own lawyer, how come she wasn’t taken to any of these hospitals? How come she couldn’t enjoy “the fruit of her labour”? Since we saved so much from oil and invested same in our clinics, why couldn’t the madam who made it possible enjoy from it? Why would she go to the UK for medical treatment, when the Government she served in told us that the money they made was judiciously spent on medical infrastructure? Why?

This is an example of man’s inhumanity to man. When people who were in charge of our common wealth do not believe in the same system they superintended over. That Deziani could even come out to tell everyone that she is undergoing treatment in London after being in charge of managing our petroleum ministry is a spectacular example of the plain wickedness we are all talking about.

Her supporters can say all they want. However, Deziani has displayed something to all of us. She has told us that we are all “Mugu”.  Well God dey sha!!  Ewolewooo!!!
