Nigeria immigration service is trying to be wise by half. The service wants to “re-screen” those that had already been given employment in 2015. I don’t get this. These guys already had their employment letters after screening by the NIS much earlier. Why is this issue now?
We cannot continue to play games of “kamikaze” with people’s lives. We cannot play lip service to a common value where humanity needs to be respected and observed. I am sorry; I see this as an attempt to change the composition of the people who have already been employed by the service. The NIS can come out with all the funny logic she wants to drive through our throats, the perception still remains that the service wants to change course to bringing in new set of employees. That would never happen.
I am aware that CBN did some recruitment recently, how come they never went through different set of re-screening exercise? We all know how the CBN recruitment came on board. We can all guess how people, who got recruited into the CBN, got in because their parents or guardians are politically connected. The CBN never debunked this in any manner. How come this never got the “rescreening pill”? We cannot continue to treat some Nigerians as rags and others as special breeds? This is not fair in any manner. Those that got their letters of employment must be allowed to start work without delay. The management of the NIS cannot do this. They’ve got to allow people go to work.
All people of goodwill should support these guys. They have their letters of employment so must be allowed into the system. What is good for the CBN folks should be good for the NIS folks. We cannot allow people to redefine common bureaucratic protocols. Let the people start their work. NIS should not be allowed to play his game.
For the NIS management; no one is a fool. If you want your people in, no problem, just employ more. For now the people with 2015 employment letters must start their work without delay. This game of throes has to end. The NIS management is hiding behind a finger. Will it work? I say NO….Ewolewoo!!
