“Opportunity comes but once” is an acronym everyone would have been used to in his/her evolution. However, sticking to it is not necessarily correct.

Opportunities present themselves in different fashion to us daily. Some we could see and do nothing about. Some we saw and became complacent in the ways we handled them. Some we lacked the wisdom or capacity to see and grab them with all our hands. Some are just there but we are just not interested. Some opportunities can be created by us too.The truth is this: Many opportunities are still there and would still be there.

It is simple: Opportunities can never disappear in life. Total disappearance of opportunities for an individual is akin to being 6 ft below. While I accept that some opportunities are easily grabbed at some specific times, it doesn’t necessarily mean the total demise of the opportunities when not grabbed. Yes it could be more difficult but they can still be available. To say they would never be available is to play the ultimate creator.

You’ve got a 72 year old individual as the President as we speak. He had three opportunities earlier to be President but he just couldn’t. Did he give up? No!! Instead he rejigged and re-strategized. Did it pay him? You and I know the answer. I know the case of a friend who was sent by his father to go and do something for himself in the states. You know what? He failed woefully in the US. Did he give up when he came back? No!! Just like the President, he re-jigged and he’s one of the most successful guys (in shoe making) around as we speak.

People would always remember your past failures once you allow your present state to give them such impression. They would forget whatever past opportunities you have wasted once you can re-make the opportunities you’ve got and make them better. It could be more difficult but it could be achievable.

It just boils down to this: Once you are still breathing and in good health, “opportunities coming once” ends in the paper that wrote it or the person that said it. Your opportunities are still there to be grabbed…Please do the needful.. Try again and again!!!!!!!!!!!! It is #dontgiveup!!
